Acala
Acala is a small hamlet named for a type of cotton produced in Mexico. In 1925, a post office was established here with Julia A. Vaughn as postmistress. By 1927, there was a population of 50. Since then the population has risen and fallen, never reaching more than 100. Today, it remains at around 25.
